Thanks for all the birthday wishes! This fab cake was so fun to make with neon food coloring! The kids love using cake beaters, squirting food coloring and watching the colors come to life when you mix it into the white frosting. The best part is cutting the first slice to reveal how good of a job you really did layering the colored batter. I saw this in Family Fun magazine, they always have such awesome ideas. To top it off we searched the bulk section and finally found gold coins. What's a rainbow without a pot of gold? So while I am at it, Happy St. Patty's day too.

I had such a great weekend and I do not normally say that. It snowed like mad and the kids had a blast playing in the mounds of new snow. USA lost the big hockey game to Canada in OT. Good for them though, Canada won in Canada. Congats ( they are our fifty first state anyway right?) I made an awesome new Moraccan like chicken recipe. The house smelled so good. Something totally different from your usual chicken dishes. I do think it would have been good with chicken breast too if you do not like thighs. Also, hard to find ingredient currants you can find in the bulk section of Weggos. For the couscous I used pearl couscous from Far East in garlic and olive oil flavor. I never eat couscous. Excellent! I highly recommend this very impressive and romantic dish, now all we need is some romance right? ;) The dish is called Salsa Couscous Chicken, give it a whirl.

Saturday night we rented The Water Horse. I would have never picked this out myself, however I loved it and I think I watched it four or five times. Unbelievable, I know, I sat still for that long! A must see.

On Sunday I took Cooper and Sophia, two of my human children to a Boston Terrier meet up with our beloved BTs Maggie and MacDougal. We had a blast, so much fun, met new friends and cannot wait for the next meet up. I love bostons more than ever now, Im so sold on the breed! (I know Im crazy.)

I am feeling better. I think My shingles fiasco is finally over after six weeks. It is wonderful not having to take pain killers, having energy again, and just feeling normal. I love it! Now if I could only get into P90X shape.

I usually try to unplug a little bit more during the weekends but Sunday night I cannot miss Big Love, this season is incredible. I am so excited to watch the Bachelor tonight. I never thought I would get sucked into the black hole of the bachelor, but I did. I love good tube!

Great weekend, clean house, laundry up to par, if only it stayed that way for more than five minutes. Back to work. wubba wubba wubba.
